Robin (Erithacus rubecula) The Robin is a small roundish bird with black eyes, orange-red forehead, cheeks and breast and olive-brown upper plumage and can be seen wherever there are trees and hedges. Usually alone, it is not easily frightened and is quite ready to live near human dwellings, particularly in winter. Its song is very varied and fairly strong. Birdcam Robin Boxes are similar to the tit box however, they are open fronted as this is what Robins prefer. As light is able to get into the box, we have installed a colour camera inside the roof. When deciding on where to put your Robin Box, an ideal place would be amoungst vegetation. The Robin Box is made from Scottish Redwood and is of the highest quality. The camera and electrical equipment is guaranteed for a year and the nestbox ( as long as you treat it in water based wood preservative) is guaranteed for 15-20 years.
